Burnouts should be minimal for the conditions, ie hot track small burnout, cold track larger & you only want to clean & heat the tyres + prep the track, excessive burnouts will melt the shoulders of the tyre and you gain nothing, if anything your launch is worse. Also get a line lock to do it properly. Line locks are the pro way if you drag race not cheating.

For paint removal use them black biscuit things that have holes. Thin discs are cutting discs. Thick discs are for grinding. Flap wheels are for polishing steel.

With my line lock it is setup to the rear brake lines and blocks it from building up pressure so that you can still feather the pedal to do rolling burnouts don’t know if anyone else done it that way I just done it as makes life easier for all burnouts yet to try it out tho

Used to make up ht leads when i worked in a vw garage many years ago

line lock is best i think it holds car in place with out heating up and burning out the back brakes. as the other ways still applies the brakes a bit

And for anyone curious, a front wheel drive burnout is done by dropping the clutch and leaving the handbrake on, you can then regulate the braking to make it roll by letting the handbrake on/off a number of clicks. However if your car has a lot of grip or a lack of power, it can be more effective to be rolling back or reversing slightly before switching to a forward gear and applying the handbrake etc. 👍

Love the explanation of tecnique for burnout marcus. Ive just made 8 ht leads for my sons 1964 mustang 289 and used old c9nnectors and boots. . Id show but cant add pics here.

Get a couple more cheap angle grinders have one for each disk to save swapping all the time. I got a hurst electric line lock on mine. Got it from the states, easy to fit on the front brake circuit and no need for left foot braking and you don’t have to overcome the rear brakes. Flick a switch and roll out of it.

The k series was bought and paid for by rover and most work on it was done by rover , the corrupt management sold it dirt cheap to Honda who shouldn't have it . Rover also did the L series deisels that were easy and reliable for 150hp with tweeks well before BMW got there dirty mitts on land rover , England's been robbed

Super cool vid mate. Those Meetings are the ones i like the moste. Keep up the good work man. I visit a meeting in cologne with my car club under the soobridge . It's smaller but it's so relaxed. From a golf 1 gti to a 30 ford hotrod. And everything in between. We stay at night with a big fire and a litle cool band in the back of a classic truck.

Trust me it might be great fealing strong and working out and have a very bissy life but trust me you need to slow down abit as you keep pushing yourself its going to get you back in the end i was the same as you but my health issues now has stopped me from work now ok you are alot younger than me as im 45 and stuggle with fatigue every day to even do normal things but ive allways got a project like rebuiding my motor bike and a car soon
